HI,
Hello all! This is my first post to the forums and I have a question that my have been asked many times before.
I'm doing a new build and decided to get fancy and individually sleeve the cables to my Corsair HX750i. My current issue and most likely my biggest is the 24 pin MB connector. I've decided what I'm going to do about the double wire but the cables are a huge mess. While the cables in the motherboard connector are pretty neat, the ones to the PS are not. I plan on buying cable comes to see if I can make them any better but they're a huge mess at the moment.
So my question is this. Normally on a non modular or semi modular PS the cables lead in to the board on the PS which determines the voltage for each individual cable, so I can see why it is important to recall what pin goes where, but on a fully modular PS, the cables are connected to the port and the port is what determines the voltages, so essentially, could I just move pins around to make them neat since they are do not determine the volts going to the mobo? Or is that just a stupid assumption?
Also, the 24 pin leading to the mobo is missing a pin, and being that this is my first ever sleeving job, I screwed it up a bit in the sense that I'm not 100% that the slot that is missing a pin, is in fact the slot that shot be missing the pin and not another.
Please help.
Thanks!
I didn't find the right solution from the Internet.
